Craig J. Spearing is an American illustrator who shifted from children’s educational publishing to fantasy art in 2008. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (1992), he has since worked for Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Paizo, Fantasy Flight Games, Bethesda, Dire Wolf, Sony Online Entertainment, Green Ronin, Kobold Press, and many major book and magazine publishers. His work has appeared in Spectrum 19 and 20, Exotique 7, and he received a Chesley Award nomination for Best Magazine Cover (2013) and the Willa Award for Best Children’s Book (1999).
