James Rose is a senior game designer specializing in gameplay, UX, systems, and content design. Over twelve years at Wizards of the Coast, he contributed to both Magic: The Gathering and digital D&D, including key work on MTG Arena’s prototype, duel scene, new-player experience, and multiple premier card sets. His experience spans Unity, Unreal Engine 5, rapid UX iteration, systems documentation, and prototyping. Before Wizards, he designed at Electrified Games and Mind Control Software, shipping projects from early wireframes to final implementation, including the original Pokémon Online TCG.
