Kai Carpenter

Kai Carpenter is an American illustrator known for his oil-painted work inspired by the Golden Age of Illustration. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he has built a career creating narrative, emotionally rich images influenced by artists such as N.C. Wyeth, Dean Cornwell, and J.C. Leyendecker. After early work in fantasy art, Carpenter became a key collaborator with Anderson Design Group, producing vintage-style posters for national parks, travel, and Americana themes. His art is distinguished by its classic 1920s–1950s aesthetic, strong craftsmanship, and evocative storytelling, making him one of the studio’s most celebrated contributors.
