Matt Sernett
Matt Sernett is a veteran writer and designer whose work spans tabletop and digital games. A long-time contributor to Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and numerous board-game and miniature lines, his writing appears across many well-known RPG books and game products. Beyond tabletop, he has also contributed narrative and worldbuilding work to digital titles including Destiny 2, Rogue Company, and Solasta: Crown of the Magister, as well as additional unannounced projects.
A citizen of the MHA Nation (Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold), Sernett has been playing and creating games since childhood, beginning with early war games like Avalon Hill’s Luftwaffe and RPGs such as AD&D 1st Edition. His career began in magazine journalism, which led to Dragon magazine and eventually to a long tenure as a designer for Dungeons & Dragons, where he worked alongside many of the creators and authors who shaped the game’s legacy.
